column, "How to teach kids about the perils of smoking." Getting the point across to children about the harmful effects of smoking is a true challenge, especially in light of the fact that the tobacco companies spend hundreds of millions of dollars each year in advertising in every state. Being patient with children and maintaining consistent messaging over the course of time is a good start in helping youth understand the impact of their decision to smoke or not. It is also of paramount importance to provide resources to help them get information about the hazards of smoking as well as the tools needed to quit once tobacco use has been initiated. This is where the tobacco control program comes in. There are resources available to help youth understand tobacco marketing, as well as resources to help them quit through the New York Smokers' Quitline (1-866-NY-QUITS; www.nysmokefree.com). Any information given to children is critical to helping them before chronic disease states are initiated.
This is really interesting blog that I had ever read. I really appreciated your blog post. Many children below 21 starting smoke and it is very dangerous for health.
